My mom on Ygritte:
Hahahaha…she knew what she was doing all cozying up to Jon. I liked her. She knows what she’s doing. Oh! And Sam is in love with Gilly and now Jon is cuddling with Ygritte. Yes. I think those boys are going to get into some trouble with the girls. Hahahahaha.

“You can always judge a man by the quality of his enemies.”
“A man cannot be too careful in the choice of his enemies. I have not got one who is a fool. They are all men of some intellectual power, and consequently they all appreciate me. Is that very vain of me? I think it is rather vain.”
- Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray.soo creepy in so man ways.

In an interview with the Guardian last year, Sendak said that the term “children’s illustrator” annoyed him, since it seems to belittle his talent. “I have to accept my role. I will never kill myself like Vincent van Gogh. Nor will I paint beautiful water lilies like Monet. I can’t do that. I’m in the idiot role of being a kiddie book person,” he said.
Maurice Sendak, American born author of Where the Wild Things Are, has died at the age of 83.
What a legend- Studied Where The Wild Things Are and In The Night Garden during my Children’s Literature course at university. He was truely a talent.
The Kansas City Royals have a pretty great logo. I wouldn’t be too upset if they changed it to this, though.

Hahahahahaha! Go KC!
Getting stuck into The Pale King by David Foster Wallace.
So far so good, being barely 90-odd pages in I cant say for sure how much I will enjoy it but considering it’s a novel revolving around boredom and bureaucracy the fact I’m keeping going is a good sign. Alot more of a challanging read than The Hunger Games last week and its good to stretch myself again.
Aiming for finishing by next week.
